Arguing before federal and state courts in Massachusetts and other juris- dictions, he has served as senior counsel at Ma- cLean Holloway Doherty & Sheehan, P.C., in Pea- body, Massachusetts, for several years. To prepare for his career, Mr. Holloway pursued a formal education at Amherst College, where he earned a BA in English literature. From there, he joined the United States Army Reserve. He attended the Boston University School of Law, receiving a JD in 1973. Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts the same year, he thereafter was also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Contributing to his alma mater, Mr. Holloway judges moot court arguments at Boston University, as well as at Harvard Law School, where he has served as a trial advisor in the Harvard Trial Workshop program. Likewise, he has sat on the board of editors of the Massachusetts Lawyer Weekly and has excelled as director and past president of the Essex County Bar Association and past president of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Additionally, he has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s ethics committee, civil litigation council, complex commercial litigation council and joint bar committee on judicial nominations. To attest to his success, Mr. Holloway was named a Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine, was recognized as a New England Super Lawyer and holds an AV Preeminent Rating through Martin- dale-Hubbell.
