268 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SCIENCES, PHARMACEUTICALS AND BIOTECHNOLOGY A distinguished wildlife conservationist, activist, model and actress, Sharon Kwok Pong is renowned as the executive director of AquaMeridian Conservation and Education in Hong Kong. In her role since 2012, she and her organization are dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles and other marine animals, as well as general wildlife protection. Inspired to enter the field by her father, the founder of Ocean Park in Hong Kong, she often explored the park and wilderness. Later on, she served Reef Check in observing cowries and various species of fish located within Hong Kong, as well as spent her time diving in Mexico. Alongside her endeavors with AquaMeridian Conservation and Education, Ms. Kwok Pong has excelled as a board member with the Explorers Club, Mission Blue and WildAid. She maintains affiliation with the Society of Women Geographers and the SPCA, with whom she serves as an ambassador. Likewise, she is involved in the Cadet Training Program in Hong Kong. Holding a BFA, Ms. Kwok Pong is also noteworthy for her acting roles in such films as “The Fortune Code,” “Outlaw Brothers,” “Red Fists,” “Lethal Panther 2,” “Fist from Shaolin” and “Two of a Kind.” Leveraging her elevated status in Hong Kong, she has spotlighted the problems of shark finning and illegal wildlife trade through media campaigns, school presentations and artwork. To attest to her success, Ms. Kwok Pong was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame. She attributes her career success to her determination to make a difference in the world for both humans and animals. Looking toward the future, she intends to continue writing and directing films with the goal of advocating for humane laws regarding animals throughout Hong Kong. Married to her husband Kit Pong since 2002, she is the proud mother to her son, Andrew.
