Mr. Al Jarwan attended the Military Technical College in Egypt, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering in 1992. In 1994, he earned a master’s degree in mechanical and aeronautical techniques from Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris 6, in France. He completed coursework in international affairs at Tufts University. In 2018, he received an MA in political science from Hague University in the Netherlands, as well as an honorary doctorate. Mr. Al Jarwan joined the UAE Armed Forces and retired with the rank of Colonel, Engineer Staff, receiving the Military Service Medal. He also served in the Military Attaché of the UAE Embassy in Washington, D.C., and London. Mr. Al Jarwan played a significant role in tolerance, peace and relationship with the United Nations, UNESCO and the Arab League. He was a key player and essential participant in all activities of international organizations and in national and international parliamentarians’ meetings, receiving great recognition from dignitaries worldwide. He earned the 2020 Mahatma Gandhi International Award and has been recognized by the leaders of such countries as Russia, Colombia, Argentina, Albania, Kosovo, Djibouti, Comoros and Lebanon for his achievements in human rights, tolerance, peace, sustainable development, and women and youth rights. Looking forward, Mr. Al Jarwan is raising the value of tolerance and spreading the culture of peace, fighting discrimination, violence, terrorism and racism, and strengthening principles of tolerance to achieving peace. He intends to continue advocating for humanitarian issues and being a great Emirati role model, reflecting the successful Emirati culture that supports tolerance and peace. A hmed Bin Mohammed Al Jarwan is the president and founder of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace in Malta since 2017 and president of the Arab Experts Union since 2018.
