214 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS S ince she was 17 years old, Nadira S. Drepaul desired to become a nurse in order to help patients and their families cope with medical maladies. Drawing upon a BSN from the Herbert H. Lehman College and an MSN in nursing education from New York University, Ms. Drepaul has excelled as a registered nurse at the NYU Langone Medical Center (now known as NYU Langone Health) since 1995. Since 2001, she has worked in the intensive care unit. Alongside her primary vocation, she served as an adjunct clinical professor at New York University from 2002 to 2010 and at CUNY Lehman College from 2012 to 2015. Attributing her success to the support and encouragement from her family and her strong belief system, Ms. Drepaul enjoys the academic atmosphere of NYU Langone Health and finds that the connections she fosters with her patients to be most rewarding. In light of her outstanding contributions to nursing education, she earned the Clinical Instructor Award from CUNY Lehman College in 2015. Looking forward, she intends to relocate out of New York and share her wealth of knowledge and experience to other U.S. regions. Millennium Magazine Featured Listee REGISTERED NURSE NYU Langone Medical Center Bronx, NY S upported by nearly 20 years of excellence inmedicine, Dr. Shandal Emanuel has notably served as a physician at the Eastern North Carolina Medical Group in Nashville, North Carolina, since 2005. Drawing upon an MD from the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine from 2001, she subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond in 2005. Additionally, Dr. Emanuel also holds an MPH from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health and a BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics since 2016, Dr. Emanuel is distinguished as a volunteer speaker for the Native American Pediatric Education Project and has been a sponsor for the International Children’s Fund since 2017. Likewise, she is a past co-president of the Association of Native American Students and an active member of the Association of American Indian Physicians. As a testament to her success, Dr. Emanuel has been a recipient of a Reader’s Choice Award. In addition, she has earned numerous Top Choice Awards fromher community throughout her longstanding career.
