216 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS D etermined to make a difference in other individuals’ lives who were coping with mental illness, Dr. Ross Kremsdorf most recently served as a system of care administrator in the Quality Improvement Division of Kern Behavioral Health & Recovery Services from 2007 until his retirement in 2017. Previously excelling in myriad supervisory roles pertaining to psychological services across California, he has accrued 43 years’ experience in total. Licensed to practice psychology in 1980, he graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Northridge, with a BA in psychology in 1973. Dr. Kremsdorf also holds an MA in clinical psychology and a PhD in clinical psychology, both from Arizona State University. Notably, Dr. Kremsdorf returned to higher education and obtained a JD from the California Pacific School of Law in 1998, graduating as valedictorian. Engaged in his community, he has volunteered on many occasions with individuals who struggle with mental illness and with child abuse prevention councils. Currently, he is writing a book regarding the process of self-healing. Dr. Kremsdorf has earned a plethora of accolades throughout his illustrious career in recognition of his extensive contributions to the field of mental health. PSYCHOLOGIST (RETIRED), ADVISOR, CONSULTANT Kern Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Cambria, CA S erving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War in the late 1960s, John P. Middlesworth decided to contribute to the health and wellness of fellow Vietnam veterans through his long-term role as a readjustment counseling therapist for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Counseling combat veterans for more than 25 years, he aims to help veterans overcome their struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and extend his knowledge to the public through education about PTSD and other mental illnesses. To supplement his extensive expertise, he also holds a BA in vocational education from California State University and an MA in psychology from the University of the Rockies. Mr. Middlesworth was honored for his contributions in building the California State Vietnam Veteran Memorial in 1988, and he had presented numerous papers throughout North America and Europe. A member of the International Societies of Traumatic Stress Studies, he is currently in the process of writing two books regarding the history of PTSD during World War I and his own personal combat stories. Looking forward, he intends to continue living his life to the best of his ability while aiding others.
