W orking in the food service and hospitality industries for more than 15 years, Wut Eick is a distinguished restaurant owner who spearheaded the Bay View Thai Kitchen in Depoe Bay, Oregon, in 2019. Serving a variety of Thai dishes, including specialized accommodations for patrons with gluten, wheat and soy allergies, the restaurant also offers vegetarian and vegan cuisine for all to enjoy. They are especially known for their crab- fried rice, which is carefully prepared for each customer. Prior to opening his restaurant, Mr. Eick worked in the hospitality industry, where he focused his efforts on food creation and customer service. He began his journey as a dishwasher, eventually climbing the ladder of success to chef. Supported by an associate degree from the Western Culinary Institute from 2002, Mr. Eick is also renowned for his service to the Coast Guard community in Depoe Bay. Often serving Coast Guard members even when the restaurant is closed, Bay View Thai Kitchen was recognized for service to the community in 2019.
