To attest to his success, he was acknowledged by the State Parkway Police Benevolent Association in 1979. Likewise, he earned recognition from the Nassau County Court Officer’s Association in both 2002 and 2009. The New York State Comptroller’s Office and New York State Assembly also honored him in 2009. Presently, Mr. Lerner maintains membership with the American Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association. Throughout his career, he is most fond of fighting for victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, which also included individuals from the Port Authority who struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder and were denied their pension. Drawing upon more than 50 years of experience in law, Mr. Lerner is renowned for representing police unions, court officer unions and correction officer unions.
