Inspired to enter the field of law after reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, Philip Heller studied at Harvard College and attended Boston University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BA in 1976 and JD in 1979. Admitted to the New York, California and Massachusetts State Bars, he was also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and all district courts of the State of California. Additionally, he is admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second and Ninth Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. Since 1995, Mr. Heller has excelled as a partner of Fagelbaum & Heller, LLP, where he practices in complex business litigation, securities, antitrust, hedge fund litigation, franchise disputes and white-collar criminal defense. Earlier, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Irving Ben Cooper and worked in the public integrity unit the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. Trying myriad cases in both federal and state courts to conclusion, he holds an AV Preeminent Rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Drawing upon a BA from Dartmouth College, and a JD and MBA joint degree from the University of Chicago, Steve Levitan is an attorney who has been serving as partner of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP since 2014. Prior, Mr. Levitan served myriad other firms as partner, counsel and associate, such as Bingham McCutchen, McKee Nelson, and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, among others. Earlier, he interned with the International Peace Academy at the UN and with Ernest & Whinney. Admitted to practice in New York and D.C., Mr. Levitan is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and United States Supreme Court. He holds a CPA certificate from the State of Illinois. He has been named to Best Lawyers since 2011 and to Super Lawyers since 2017, and has been listed in America’s Leading Lawyers by Chambers USA and Chambers Global since 2004. He was elected co-chair of the securitization and structured finance committee of the New York City Bar Association and vice chair of the structured finance and securitization committee of the American Bar Association in 2021.
