Shapiro has excelled as the chair of the family law department of The Florida Probate & Family Law Firm in Coral Gables, Florida, since 2019. Previously hosting her own private practice between 1994 and 2019, she possesses extensive experience in child and family law, including divorce, child custody, domestic violent, matrimonial law and grandparent visitation rights, among other areas. Prior to delving into law, Ms. Shapiro received an AA from Pine Manor College in 1958 and a BA from the University of Miami in 1972.
