312 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SCIENCES, PHARMACEUTICALS AND BIOTECHNOLOGY Enjoying the outdoors in light of her upbringing, where she grew up on farmlands, Patricia Neiner always loved being on the farm and witnessing the methods by which nature and animals worked. Acknowledging that women were often not respected and were overlooked by their male counterparts in the agriculture industry, she decided to spearhead a change and establish a career for herself and other women in the field. Since 2005, she has served as the director of the Pennsylvania Women’s Agriculture Network in Pennsylvania. Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Neiner is especially proud of her network becoming promoted over the years and having the opportunity to incorporate urban growers in their rural network. She draws upon a prior Bachelor of Arts in art history and a Bachelor of Science in horticulture, both from the Pennsylvania State University in 1984 and 1992, respectively. Alongside her current career path, she also owns a farm in Central Pennsylvania. Ms. Neiner maintains affiliation with the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, the Pennsylvania Valley Conservative Association, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the National Pennsylvania Farmer’s Union. Notably, she is a past board president of Pennsylvania Farm Link. Throughout her varied career, she has attributed her success to her ability to connect with other individuals and the trust she has gained from those with whom she has worked. In light of her contributions to the agriculture industry, Ms. Neiner received a Governor’s Service Award in 2003. Likewise, due to her proficiency in her college years, she earned numerous honor society awards. Passionate about women’s rights, especially with respect to women’s race and ethnicity, she strongly believes that women are a positive influence in the contemporary world. Looking toward the future, Ms. Neiner intends to further the advancement of a national women’s coalition for agriculture.
