102 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Muhammad Mustafa Rashid was born and raised in Pakistan, where he met several wondrous educators at St. Patrick’s High School who supported and encouraged his eclectic interests in both philosophy and economics. Driven by a lifelong dream to continue his professional interests in a vocational capacity, he relocated to the United States, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of California Davis in 2017. From there, he attended the University of Detroit Mercy, receiving a Master of Arts in applied economics in 2019. Currently, he is an MBA Program candidate at the University of Detroit Mercy, from which he is expected to graduate with an MBA in global management in 2021. Since starting his educational studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, Mr. Rashid has served as a graduate teaching and research assistant since 2018. An innate researcher and lauded scholar, he previously held professional experience in the field of textiles, possessing 10 years of experience in international trade, development and research while affiliated with the University of California. Boasting research interests in economic and business history, macroeconomics, international economics, public finance and industrial organization, Mr. Rashid has been published extensively in his field. He has written for such publications as the Journal of Advanced Studies in Finance, the Journal of Economics and Political Economy, and the Journal of Research in Management. As a testament to his success, Mr. Rashid has been named a Ford Scholar and a King Chavez Parks Scholar, and maintains a lifetime membership with the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools, with whom he is affiliated with the St. Ignatius chapter and Alpha Iota Delta, Delta Mu chapter. Notably, Mr. Rashid is a chartered economist and a fellow of the Global Academy of Finance and Management. Looking forward, Mr. Rashid intends to continue publishing pioneering research in his chosen fields of interest.
