40 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT drug violence and addiction in inner cities, and taught science through his television program, “Myself and Others.” To supplement his diversified career path, Mr. Hill earned a BA fromSaint Francis College, anMA in political science from Long Island University and an MA in administrative supervision from Brooklyn College. He was a doctoral candidate at Yeshiva University and also earned an advanced training certificate in school-based alcohol and drug prevention from Adelphi University. Mr. Hill was honored as an Outstanding Educator in Who’s Who in America and by the United Nations for an anti-Apartheid poster. Additionally, he was honored with the Delaney Speaking Award fromSaint Francis College and a First Placement in theWeeksville Art Contest, andwas recognized by Omega Psi Phi for his contributions to aiding upand-coming professionals in the advertising industry. Moreover, his humanitarian feats were documented in several newspapers and media outlets. Preserving his life’s legacy in the advocacy for those in need, including the homeless and at-risk youth, Jim Hill has once been called a “one man community service center” in light of his contributions to the arts, philanthropic efforts and academia. Upon his college graduation, he delved into sketching and painting that represented his experiences of living as a Black man in modern America, and subsequently leveraged the finances from the sales of his work to fund community programs in New York. Now situated in Marietta, Georgia, Mr. Hill established Jim Hill Productions in which he crafts mosaics and has exhibited art at museums and galleries. Likewise, Mr. Hill is notable as a 30-plus year teacher for the New York City Department of Education, and following his departure from academia, he established the Jim Hill House, a nonprofit that aids underserved children in Marietta. He has published his artwork in several books, such as “Historical Blues… 100 Stories and 100 Pictures,” as well as in his personal autobiography, “Born to Be.” He also starred in the film “Crackdown: Big City Blues,” which details JIM HILL MOSAIC ARTIST Jim Hill Productions Marietta, GA
