127 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine A s a licensed commercial pilot of single and multiengine airplanes, Delmar McLean Fadden has had a successful career in electrical engineering. To prepare for his career, Mr. Fadden obtained a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in 1963 and 1975, respectively. He began his professional career in 1969, working for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. During his tenure with the company, he served in various capacities, including as a flight deck chief engineer, chief engineer of the 737/757 avionics/flight system, integration manager of cabin systems, and integration manager of airplane services, a position he held until retiring in 1999. After retirement, he began to utilize his knowledge and expertise in the field as a consultant. In 1999, he established his consultancy with Sandel Avionics Inc., where he still serves as a product consultant working on next-generation flight deck displays for business and commercial airplanes. He has also been the owner of Delta Papa, Ltd. and Flight Advantage LLC since 2000 and 2009, respectively, as well as the owner of Fadden Consulting, located in California. Amidst his fruitful career, Mr. Fadden has served as chairman of the SAE Systems Integration Task Group, a consultant to Connexion by Boeing and Esterline Corporation, and a member of the board of directors of Sandel Avionics. As a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, IEEE, the Human Factors Society, the Mountaineers Foundation, the American Alpine Club and the Mountaineers Club, he has shared his knowledge as a contributor of articles to professional journals in the field. He has obtained patents for high- integrity system architecture and been featured in Who’s Who in Finance and Business,Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
