241 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine T homas T. Lee has dedicated over two decades of professional service to the field of medicine. As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Lee has taken on and excelled at many tasks. To prepare for a successful career, he began his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Miami. With determination and a new skill set, he became an attending neurosurgeon at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, a position he has held since 2005. During his professional career, Dr. Lee has served in various capacities, including chief of the neurosurgery section at St. John’s Riverside Hospital since 2001, chairman of the board of trustees from 2012 to 2016, and Medical Society of the State of NY (MSSNY) 9 th District Branch Councilor since 2015. Dr. Lee is also MSSNY’s commissioner on governmental relations. He has served as a board member of the New York State Department of Health Board for Professional Medical Conduct since 2010. Dr. Lee served as a member of the editorial review panel of Spine from 1999 to 2012 and contributed many articles to professional journals and chapters to books in the field. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has received many accolades and awards for his service, including being named to Top Doctors in New York and the Metropolitan Area by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., recognition as One of the Top Doctors by Westchester Magazine and U.S. News & World Report, and receiving the Congressional Recognition Award in 2009. He was also the recipient of the Medical Advocacy/Doctors of Distinction Award from Westchester Business Journal in 2014. Dr. Lee’s extensive resume includes a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley; a Doctor of Medicine from UCLA; and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University.
