307 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine B everly Melcher Pennington has served as the president and chief executive officer of White Tiger Financial Service, Inc., since 1994. Ms. Pennington’s career began in 1946 while working with her father preparing taxes. Wanting to succeed and prove herself to him, she obtained a position as a secretary of the budget department at the Bureau of Indian Affairs in South Dakota. After serving in that position for a year, she was promoted to private secretary, serving in that position from 1953 to 1954 before taking on a similar role at the U.S. Public Health Service from 1954 to 1955. She continued working for the organization until 1961, serving as an administrative assistant. Utilizing her leadership skills and executive prowess, she became the co-owner and later owner of Pennington Tax Service in Platte, South Dakota. Ms. Pennington has contributed many articles to professional journals in the field. She remains abreast through her memberships and affiliations, including being a fellow of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers and member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Platte Chamber of Commerce, the Lyric Theatre Museum Society, the United States Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Dakota Central Committee. Her contributions to the field have earned her recognition in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
