Ms. Moore holds certifications in instructional I biology for 7-12 and instructional II biology for 7-12, both from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. At the inception of her professional career in 2014, Ms. Moore served as a grades seven through 12 science teacher at Intermediate Unit 1 in Coal Center, Pennsylvania, a school for alternative education and special education. Remaining in that role until 2017, she subsequently served as a STEM instructional support specialist in 2017, followed by a tenure as a STEM curriculum project coordinator between 2017 and 2020. Since 2020, Ms. Moore has excelled as a curriculum specialist. To remain abreast of developments in her field, Ms. Moore maintained affiliation with the National Society of Leadership and Success and Alpha Lambda Delta between 2011 and 2014. She has also been a member of the National Science Teachers Association and the Remake Learning Network. As a testament to her resounding success in her industry and in her educational studies, Ms. Moore received the Presidential Scholar Award in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Outstanding Achievement in Science Education Award in 2014. In accounting for her success, Ms. Moore credits her personal motivation and hard work ethic. She notes that she has always presented herself with the utmost professionalism, which has helped her stand out in the field. She also has a welcoming demeanor which has aided her in helping others, drawing upon her innate interpersonal skills and compassion for other individuals and children. A fter graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2010, Alyssa M. Moore attended the California University of Pennsylvania, fromwhich she received a BS in education, with a concentration in secondary education biology, in 2014.
