Mr. Levarek’s business offers a wealth of valuable merchandise from famed toy designers such as Kaws, Futura and Ron English, including Funko and vintage toys. Having specialized as a toy aficionado from a young age, Mr. Levarek sold his valuable collection of Batman figurines to spearhead his enterprise. He is constantly on the lookout for hot trends and popular items that he can capitalize on and subsequently offer for deals at his shop. Much of Mr. Levarek’s stock comprises limited edition items, including an extensive collection of unique Godzilla figures and models. Toy Tokyo was previously voted Best Toy Store of the Year by Clutter Magazine and New Yorker Magazine. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Levarek is a well-traveled individual, having spent several years overseas in Europe, India, Iran, Afghanistan, Israel, Japan and China. He pursued a formal education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, earning a bachelor’s degree. He has also traveled to Katmandu and trekked the Himalayas. Attributing much of his success to his passion for toys, Mr. Levarek is grateful to have cultivated a fulfilling career in an industry he profoundly enjoys. In light of his many accomplishments, he is especially proud to have developed the first four-color toy catalog devoted to toy sales shortly after founding his company in the early 1990s. In the coming years, Mr. Levarek looks forward to opening a new shop in Shenzhen, China. He also hopes to soon open a museum for his artifacts, toys and collectibles in either Manhattan or New Jersey.
