340 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE Supported by over 20 years in the culinary arts, Cory Lamar Skinner is renowned across New York for his service and expertise in cooking. Recently, he worked at Apollo Theater, Ellis Island, Central Park Summer Stage, Gotham Hall and Ziegfeld Ballroom. Serving as a culinary chef for Legends Hospitality/Great Performances, he previously served Qwick Professional and as a line cook for Fourboys Ltd. beginning in 2015. In these roles, he was responsible for training emerging culinary professionals and menu planning. Furthermore, he was a line cook for Le Pain Quotidien in 2020, catering chef for The Cavier Company from 2019 to 2020, and chef for MetLife Stadium in 2019. Earlier, Mr. Skinner was a chef for the Lambs Club in 2015 and for the Governors Ball Music Festival for six years. Additionally, he was a prep cook and concessions supervisor at Yankee Stadium, as well as worked as a chef at the 2022 U.S. Open in the media department. Mr. Skinner pursued a formal education at Monroe College, receiving an AA in culinary arts and chef training in 2006. He was certified by the New York State Department of Health as a food handler in 2018, as well as completed a 10-hour construction safety and health course through OSHA and the United States Department of Labor in 2020. Outside of his primary efforts, Mr. Skinner has excelled as a motivational speaker, where he aids schools to achieve grants to allow adults to receive continuing education. He also donates his spare time to distributing free food to the homeless population and educating others on health and safety standards. Mr. Skinner published the book, “This Can’t Be Vegan: Find Me Delicious Vegan Dishes,” in 2018. His foray into the field was inspired by his father, who was also a chef and taught Mr. Skinner how to cook beginning at the age of 12. Looking toward the future, Mr. Skinner intends to create programs where he can help students learn how to cook, as well as establish a restaurant and catering truck for weddings, baby showers and other events.
