His uncle owned a locksmith company in Chicago, and he worked there as a teenager to learn the trade. After moving to New Jersey, Mr. Singer opened his own locksmith business at just 17. That first company set the foundation for his current one, which is poised to reach $10 million by the end of 2026 and is eyeing national expansion by 2030. Mr. Singer is the president and chief executive officer of Protection Technologies LLC. Founded in 1999, the company provides advanced security solutions for multi-family, government, commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure clients. Products include mobile CCTV, trailers and surveillance cameras. Working with large multi-family developers, Protection Technologies LLC installs all the low-voltage infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, intercoms, locks, access control, garage gate systems and fire systems. It manages and maintains these systems to ensure long-term security and functionality for the apartment buildings and their residents. The company also offers IT services, including cloud services and infrastructure management, as well as technical support and Helpdesk services. In his leadership role, Mr. Singer oversees all company operations and leads a team of nearly 30 employees. He is especially proud of having maintained a debt-free status, with all growth achieved organically through word of mouth. The company has not spent a single dollar on advertising in 34 years. The ability to generate such traction without advertising is a strong illustration of the quality and reputation of the business’s services. Protection Technologies LLC began in New Jersey and then expanded into New York and Connecticut. It now operates along the entire East Coast, from Vermont to Florida. The company purchased Mr. Singer’s first business, All Secure Locksmiths Inc., which operated from 1985 to 1999.
