One of Ms. Kindelsberger’s most significant projects involved publishing a large-scale study she conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on human behavior, specifically focusing on instrumenting over 20 vehicles, including Teslas, and then using computer vision and AI to analyze video footage. She has also been involved in the successful launches of several research projects as products. Mentorship remains a professional priority, as does improving research processes. Ms. Kindelsberger is currently working on a project aimed at transforming the scientific peer review process into a more open-source and transparent system. As a child, watching her father disassemble and reassemble computers at home sparked an early interest in the field for Julia Kindelsberger. Over the years, that interest blossomed into a passion that drove her to take risks and seek opportunities at every stage of her education and career. Ms. Kindelsberger studied and worked in multiple countries on her path to her current position as director of software development at Oracle, including Germany, Singapore, Switzerland and the United States. In her current position, Ms. Kindelsberger manages research teams, conducts product demonstrations and provides strategic directions. Her day-to-day tasks have evolved beyond programming work, which remains the most cherished aspect of her job. As a result, she undertakes occasional side projects to stay connected to this passion. Ms. Kindelsberger thrives on learning and expanding her horizons, an ideal trait for those working in the ever-evolving tech industry.
