Mr. Kincaid’s commitment to helping others has shaped a career path that, while not originally planned, reflects a lifelong calling. His leadership abilities emerged early, as he held multiple student government roles throughout junior high, high school and college. At Jackson State University, he earned a degree in health education and a master’s degree in counseling, while also managing a drug education and prevention program that provided valuable early experience. Although he briefly pursued other opportunities due to limited compensation in the field, his move to Houston reignited his passion for behavioral health. He later earned an MBA in healthcare management, further strengthening his leadership and administrative capabilities. After returning to the field, Mr. Kincaid began as a student practitioner while completing his counseling certification and quickly advanced through a series of leadership roles. He served as program director, program manager, director of operations, vice president, chief operating officer and chief government relations officer before ultimately becoming a chief executive officer. His career reflects steady progression built on dedication, vision and the ability to lead complex organizations. Across more than 30 years in addiction and mental health services, he has remained focused on improving systems of care and expanding access to meaningful, long-term recovery support.
