180 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL WORK, PUBLIC SERVICE, NONPROFIT AND HUMANITIES SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK SPECIALIST (RETIRED) Family Service of the Chautauqua Region Frewsburg, NY For more than 40 years, Donald Dove devoted his career to helping children as a clinical social worker. He spent most of his career as a school social work specialist with the Family Service of the Chautauqua Region, delivering professional social work services within local school districts. Mr. Dove’s professional dedication was recognized by the Academy of Certified Social Workers, his most notable achievement. He was also certified by New York State as a certified social worker and earned the National Association of Social Workers’ school social work specialist designation after scoring well above average on the required examination. Though he retired in 2019, Mr. Dove continues to serve others as a member of the Frewsburg Lions Club. He was president of the organization’s board of directors four times and received the International President’s Leadership Award, the Melvin Jones Award and the Robert Uplinger Award from Lions International. Mr. Dove is now helping a neighboring club develop a unique playground designed to be adaptive, allowing children with any mobility-related disabilities to participate in certain activities.
