Honolulu, HI Jon Bryan is the owner and founder of JB Brands Inc., a boutique marketing firm with more than 25 years of distinction representing industry-leading brands across multiple sectors. His journey began as a student at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studied marketing and earned a Bachelor of Science in 1987. He spent the first 10 years of his career in sales and marketing at various hospitality-focused firms, gaining valuable experience and building a reputation as an innovator with a creative approach to advertising. Eventually, he identified that Hawaii’s non-hospitality businesses were underserved by the state’s advertising sector. Seeing an opportunity, he launched his company in 1998 to provide unique marketing solutions to companies outside the hospitality industry. While Mr. Bryan always held an interest in business, his natural creative bent drew him to marketing for the opportunities it provided to influence culture and business strategy. Having worked with numerous companies and agencies early in his career, he knew that he wanted the autonomy that business ownership afforded him and was interested in the chance to manage a large portfolio of diverse clients. Throughout his career, he has remained energized by the unique challenges of working across multiple industries, and JB Brands has attracted a portfolio of clients from automotive, healthcare, consumer products and casual dining, among others. He notes that though marketing strategies can be transferable across sectors, each industry has specific needs and nuances that make the work engaging. Mr. Bryan is proud of the long-term client relationships that he has maintained, including 14 years with Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts and a working partnership with Meadow Gold Dairies spanning an impressive 28-year history and counting.
