To this end, she has worked tirelessly to advocate for fellow women in the finance industry and has maintained an active affiliation with the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hurst aims to continue mentoring emerging professionals in banking to foster their success and promote a healthy work-life balance. Ultimately, she endeavors to instill the importance of a fulfilling personal life, stressing that it is just as significant as vocational success. Julie Anna Hurst is distinguished in the banking sector for her commitment to ensuring efficient, accurate financial reporting and staff development. Since 2025, she has served as assistant vice president and controller at California Coast Credit Union, overseeing financial operations and regulatory compliance. With a steadfast dedication to employee satisfaction, Ms. Hurst also serves as a strong mentor and has promoted many staff members’ advancements within the organization, with many going on to become controllers or chief financial officers at other institutions. Recently earning an MBA in accounting from San Diego State University in 2023, Ms. Hurst first completed a BA in economics at Colorado State University in 2001 before commencing her career in finance.
