Rod Meirelles began his career as an industrial engineer in Brazil, but had to restart his professional journey when he immigrated to the United States in 2015. Since then, he has risen through leadership roles to become director of operations for Carpigiani Group, a position he has held since 2025. As an expert in manufacturing and food equipment, Mr. Meirelles schedules production for three assembly lines in the U.S. He also manages the production, engineering and logistics departments, including the warehouse. Beyond these responsibilities, he also focuses on developing people, understanding that regardless of job changes or relocations, the relationships he has built with individuals are what endure. Mr. Meirelles first worked as a warehouse manager at Stone Basyx before becoming a production manager at Pactiv LLC (now Novolex). He then moved to TekniPlex Inc. as a production supervisor manager and advanced through roles to become a sales and operations planning integrations specialist. During his tenure at TekniPlex, Mr. Meirelles addressed a significant capacity challenge when the sales department sold beyond the available production capacity. Mr. Meirelles implemented linear programming to model the problem, enabling the algorithm to determine the optimal order quantity for each client.
