It was a supportive environment, and she often competed with her brothers, developing leadership skills as the eldest of three younger siblings. Her athletic background and love for nature led her to study marine biology and seek work outdoors. Growing up, she was encouraged to pursue diverse interests and joined group activities, gaining the persistence and confidence to follow any path. This led her to work on the Washington State Ferries as a deckhand, officer and captain, roles she held for 48 years. Though she frequently faced challenges in her work, Ms. Morse’s female colleagues have come forward to thank her for paving the way for their success. She became involved in state politics, met governors and contributed to policy changes – all while pioneering opportunities for women. To prepare for her new venture in equineassisted life coaching, Ms. Morse is seeking to become a Small Business consultant. She is also enrolled in a life-coaching program led by renowned speakers and life coaches Tony Robbins and Cloé Madanes, leader of the Madanes Institute. Ms. Morse holds a master’s degree in whole systems design from Antioch University and aims to pursue a doctorate in the field in the next three years. She is using AI-assisted simulation and augmented reality to model client goals and outcomes. Her goal is to document progress, simulate theories and desired outcomes, and compare them with actual results to measure effectiveness. Ms. Morse’s whole systems strategic advising approach is supported by a clear vision and a deep sense of self-worth. She is a World Wildlife Fund donor and a charter member of the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Diversity Advisory Group. After a long, comprehensive career spent breaking down barriers for women in a male-dominated field, Marsha Morse is now using innovative techniques to guide others toward growth. As the founder of A Holistic Equine Assisted Life Coaching program, she aims to provide life coaching and consulting services to individuals, families, groups and corporate teams.
