359 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A ffiliated with AMD, Inc., since 2006, Dr. Jeffrey A. Golds is a prominent software engineer whose expertise in the field is unparalleled. Serving AMD as a fellow software development engineer since 2015, he was formerly a principal member of the technical staff between 2011 and 2015, and lead for the OpenCL Driver Performance Team and senior member of the technical staff between 2006 and 2011. Earlier in his career, he was employed by ATI as a senior software engineer and staff engineer from 2002 to 2006. Likewise, he was a software engineer with S3 Graphics from 1999 to 2001 and senior software engineer with Resilience from 2001 to 2002. At the inception of his career in 1998, he served as a contractor for Silicon Graphics for one year. Dr. Golds attributes his success to his problem-solving abilities, and he is proficient at understanding the methods of his computations in order to improve the strength of his own work. Proudest of working with cutting edge technology for both AMD and ATI for 17 years, he specializes in GPU architecture and competitive analysis. Although unsatisfied with working initially with tech support in the beginning of his career, the position offered a variety of benefits and learning opportunities. Dr. Golds was born on June 4, 1969 in Dearborn, Michigan. The recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the College of Wooster and PhD in mathematics from The Ohio State University, Dr. Golds notably published his dissertation in 1999. Married to his wife Kathaleen since July 9, 2000, he is the proud father of two children, Alexander and Sebastian.
