Thomas Serwatka received a BA in speech fromBaldwin College, as well as an MEd in education of deaf students and a PhD in special education, both from Kent State University. Dr. Serwatka served as an assistant, associate professor and full professor, interim director of the Jacksonville Museum of Contemporary Art, and vice president and chief of staff at the University of North Florida. He now holds the title of professor emeritus. Commencing his career as an associate therapist at the Cleveland Speech and Hearing Clinic, Dr. Serwatka was also a middle school teacher for deaf students with the Lakewood Public School District. Additionally, he was a research assistant, teaching fellow and visiting instructor at Kent State. Named a “Person of Influence” by the Jacksonville Community Funds: LGBT Fund in 2018 and the recipient of the Legends Award from the University of North Florida’s LGBT Resource Center, Dr. Serwatka been heavily recognized for his support of the LGBTI community and has contributed and presented on numerous publications regarding LGBT issues. He earned the 2010 Voice for Equality Award from Equality Florida. THOMAS SERWATKA UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATOR, PSYCHOLOGIST Washington and Lee University Lexington, VA D r. Anne Christine Schroer-Lamont received a diploma from the University of Strasbourg in France in 1966, a BA from Defiance College in 1967, an MA from Washington State University in 1972 and a PhD from the University of Northern Colorado in 1977. Additionally, between 2005 and 2009, she studied theology at the University of the South’s School of Theology. Currently, Dr. Schroer- Lamont is a 22-year executive committee member of the Virginia Network for Women Leaders in Richmond. A certified career counselor andmental health counselor, Dr. Schroer- Lamont most recently served as associate dean and a psychologist at Washington and Lee University from 1985 to 2005. She had also held similar roles at Texas A&M University and Houghton College in the 1970s and 1980s. A skilled clarinet player in her spare time, Dr. Schroer- Lamont also dedicated her time to teaching French at Washington State University and foreign languages at Washington Irving High School. Dr. Schroer-Lamont is a lifetimemember of the American Psychological Association, National Association for Women in Education, American- Scandinavian Foundation, American Mental Health Counselors Association and the American Association of University Women.
