Understanding that the hospital’s waste collection bag was not discrete, and therefore led to feelings of indignity by her family member, Ms. Marshall sought to revolutionize the industry by creating a sustainable solution that accompaniedmedical devices. Revered worldwide by her consumers, Ms. Marshall is humbled by the positive feedback she has received and intends to further her customer base to those who use colostomy bags. Driven by the motto, “Necessity is the mother of invention,” Ms. Marshall and her business are dedicated to creating products that dignify and empower their consumers. Drawing upon a former BS in education and teaching from St. Leo University in Florida from 1980, Ms. Marshall went on to pursue further entrepreneurship studies at the University of Florida Innovation Hub to prepare for her business career. Originally discovering the idea for her products in 2006, she worked diligently to bring those ideas to life. In light of her success, she was the distinguished recipient of the Rising Star Award from Governor Richard Lynn Scott. She was honored to receive three U.S. patents for these products. The proud mother of four children, Ms. Marshall attributes her immense success to her compassion for others and treating them with dignity. She prides herself on her ability to listen intently to her consumers and maintain relationships, noting that she has made friends with some of her consumers over the years.
