94 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine MASTER TEACHER, MILTON ACADEMY PUBLIC SECTOR PROFESSIONAL, MASSACHUSETTS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Boston, MA EDUCATION Inspired by her own history teachers and her mother, who was also an educator, while she was in the fourth grade, Theodosia Abigail Collins attended Virginia Union University and received a Bachelor of Arts in social studies in 1952. Returning to education years later, she earned a Master of Arts in liberal studies from Wesleyan University in 1971 and a Master of Humanities from the University of Richmond in 1982. Beginning in 1982, Ms. Collins excelled as a history and government teacher for sixth through 12th grade. Recently retiring in 2020, she accrued 38 years’ experience in education. Highlighted as among the first Black women to teach white students since the integration of school systems in the 1970s, Ms. Collins values the relationships she fostered with all of her students. Alongside her vocational endeavors, she is renowned for her contributions to the community, including through her local Women’s Club and various camps for children. Looking forward, Ms. Collins intends to enjoy her well-deserved retirement, lend her time further to the underserved community, continue attending church weekly and embark on many travel adventures. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Virginia. HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT TEACHER (RETIRED) Stevensville, VA Drawing upon an AB in history, with a concentration in modern European history, from Harvard University, Antonetta Anna DiGiustini has excelled as clerk of the House Committee on Bills in the Third Reading within the Office of House Counsel for the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2008. Concurrently, she has been a creative writing and history educator, as well as a master teacher at The Saturday Course at Milton Academy since 2000. Desiring to provide for her community at large, Ms. DiGiustini has fulfilled her goals of inspiring others through education, public service and government for more than 40 years. Earlier in her career, Ms. DiGiustini served the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University between 1995 and 2003, receiving the Radcliffe College Exemplary Service Award in 1996. Additionally, she co-founded LearningBOSTON at The Advent School in Boston in 1999. Engagedwith several anti-racism, civil rights and nonprofit organizations, shehas alsoexemplifieddiversitywithinher career throughcontributions to various literary anthologies. Driven to enact change, she has flourished under her love for lifelong learning and dedication to public service. Presently, she remains active with the Harvard Alumni Association.
