42 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT S ince her youth, Betsy Olk Borchardt possessed an artistic flair that her mother predicted was due for greatness. Subsequent to spending time in the professional arena, she leveraged her artistic talent and has since presented her artwork in group exhibitions and one- woman shows. In 2018, she presented her work at the Redgranite Labor Day Art Show and the Wisconsin Regional Art Program Janesville Art Show. Likewise, she has presented her work at the Roundtree Gallery, Bergstrom-Mahler Museum, Howard Young Medical Center, Our Savior Lutheran Church and Neville Public Museum, among other facilities. Ms. Borchardt showcased her work at Arizona State University’s electronic transmission art project shown at the United Nations’ 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women and has authored several books, such as “A Personal Struggle” in 1987 and “The Casting of Crowns” in 2018. A civic volunteer, Ms. Borchardt has been a founding member of the Wildlife Land Trust Humane Society and a Wildlife Guardian for Defenders of Wildlife since 1999. Affiliated with the Wisconsin Writers and Wisconsin Regional Artists Associations, she was honored with the 1992 Kenneth & Marie Kuemmerlein Award and the 1996 Obermiller Education Award. ARTIST Wautoma, WI A ttributing his success in business to the training he received as an infantryman in the United States Army, where he traveled overseas from 1969 to 1971, Robert E. Cherichella has excelled as chairman of the board of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra since 2019. Previously serving the symphony orchestra on their executive committee between 2016 and 2019, he spent several years with AIM Management, flourishing as their vice president. The recipient of a BA in business administration from the University of Dayton from 1967, Mr. Cherichella has also dedicated his time civically to the Boys and Girls Club, the Salvation Army and the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, where he was a co-chairman of “Tee Off Fore the Arts.” Likewise, he is a past president of the Illinois chapter of the Jaycees, who named him among Outstanding Young Men in America in 1985. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Cherichella is especially proud of developing talent in both his clients and employees. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue contributing to the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra and encouraging more people to engage in the arts.
