MCCASKILL, PHD A t the inception of his administration career, Dr. Charles J. McCaskill served various schools in Madison, Illinois, as assistant principal and principal. Noteworthy as being the first mathematics coordinator in Madison, he retired from academia in 1990 after 32 years’ experience and began serving as the assistant state coordinator of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Driver Safety. Officially resigning from his role in 2014, he holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Huston-Tillotson University, a master’s degree in counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a PhD from Madison University. A certified educational administration specialist in the state of Illinois, Dr. McCaskill is a past board member of the Edwardsville YMCA and currently serves on the Edwardsville Zoning Board. To attest to his success, he received a National Science Foundation Award from Prairie View Agricultural & Mechanical College. Likewise, he won in the Southwest Illinois Senior Olympics eight times in the 1990s. Civically involved, he is also a past member of Jericho Lodge #120, Lions Club, Rotary International and American Legion. I nterested in science from a formative age, Dr. Charles W. Myles is a professor of physics who has been serving Texas Tech University since 1978. Hired as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, he was promoted to associate professor in 1982 and full professor in 1987. From 1991 to 1998, he also excelled as a department chair and spent time as co-director of engineering physics between 2000 and 2009. For his teaching excellence, he was honored with the 40 Years of Service Award from the university. Dr. Myles pursued a formal education at Missouri University of Science & Technology, obtaining a BS in physics in 1969. He subsequently matriculated at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving an MS and a PhD in 1971 and 1973, respectively. Contributing his expertise to written works, he has authored or co-authored 132 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and 29 papers in refereed conference proceedings, as well as 25 invited and 205 presentations at regional, national and international conferences.
