244 MILLENNIUM H arvey Jay Levin, president of Harv Levin Auctioneers, Inc., has over five decades of experience as a financial institution design and construction specialist, developer, and auctioneer. Dr. Levin is a licensed auctioneer in Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine who became involved in his field while building financial institutions. He began his career in 1959 as president of Central Tool Warehouse in Massachusetts. From 1970 to 1972, he took on the role of director of marketing and sales for Spacemakers before accepting a similar position with New England Homes in 1973. During his career, he continued to prosper and utilize his leadership skills to maintain positions in Alabama, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Dr. Levin’s experience and expertise have led to his being featured in a dozen newspaper articles and television programs in New York and Boston. A specialist in the planning, designing, building and furnishing of financial institutions in New England, he has completed over 400 projects. He has also served as a charity auctioneer for Boston Children’s Hospital, the March of Dimes, the Parkinson’s Foundation, and numerous church and civic auctions. Dr. Levin is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the National Auctioneers Association, Wentworth by the Sea Country Club, the Hampton River Boat Club, the Kennebunk River Club, the Portsmouth Power Squadron Club, and the Masons. His extensive career is backed by a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Massachusetts, a Master of Arts in economics from the University of New Hampshire, and a PhD in philosophy business management from LaSalle University.
