A self-described workaholic, Mr. Baer refuses to settle for mediocrity and strives to elevate every task and experience, no matter how small. From the fine china to the table linens, everything at Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa must meet his approval. He takes pride in his work – and in his ability to work, recognizing that not everyone has that opportunity. Additionally, Mr. Baer values the personal interaction and social engagement of his work. He finds that real satisfaction comes from being out in the mix, connecting with others and participating directly in the work environment. He meets with his team throughout the day to ensure everything is operating smoothly. Mr. Baer extends his work in the food and beverage industry to his civic involvement, volunteering as a food preparation worker. He also helps feed children by bringing lunches to the local schools and has worked to address food insecurity through Three Square Food Bank. Mr. Baer also worked with Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, where he made it onto the wine list and was on track to become a wine sommelier. However, he ultimately became a bourbon sommelier instead. He holds additional professional credentials, including a food handlers card, a ServSafe® manager card, and a 10-hour OSHA certification. Mr. Baer has received numerous awards in his career, including Supervisor of the Quarter at Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa and Supervisor of the Year at Bally’s Las Vegas. He has gained invaluable experience across all his professional roles, especially at Red Rock, where he hopes to continue advancing. He aims to become the food and beverage assistant director or another position in which the company believes he can succeed. The food and beverage industry is known for its demanding pace and long hours. While Mr. Baer has been forced to miss holidays and special occasions, he finds that the rewards outweigh the sacrifices. He lives by his father's
