Asha Bonnae Raleigh is a real estate investor, entrepreneur and community advocate whose work reflects a belief that stable housing can change the trajectory of families and communities. As founder and chief executive officer of Sadaya’s Properties LLC, she has spent more than a decade building a residential real estate portfolio throughout the Twin Cities while expanding access to safe, stable housing. Ms. Raleigh’s journey into real estate was shaped by resilience. She overcame struggles earlier in life that strengthened her determination and instilled the empathy and compassion that guide her work. Her path into property ownership began in 2009 when she purchased her first home. She later invested in residential real estate, acquiring two rental properties and gaining firsthand experience in property ownership. A pivotal moment came in 2013 when Ms. Raleigh purchased a multi-family property and formally established Sadaya’s Properties LLC, transforming her early investments into a structured real estate investment company. Another turning point followed in 2015 when Empi Inc., the medical device company where Ms. Raleigh had built a successful healthcare career, closed its doors. Losing her position forced her to fully commit to the real estate enterprise she had already begun building. Since then, Ms. Raleigh has continued acquiring and restoring properties throughout the Twin Cities. Her investment strategy focuses on identifying undervalued homes, foreclosures and short sales that can be rehabilitated into stable housing. Ms. Raleigh takes a hands-on approach to property ownership. She maintains direct relationships with tenants and remains involved in ensuring properties are safe and wellmaintained. Her philosophy is simple: housing is not merely an investment – it is the foundation upon which families build their lives. Her connection to housing is also deeply personal.
