He specializes in project execution and third-party consulting. He is certified through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, which allows him to practice in all 50 U.S. states. He also holds LEED accreditation. Before launching his firm in 2023, Mr. Perez was a senior store design manager for Sephora Americas. Prior to that, he served as the director of retail design for Moss Inc. His career began with McCall Design Group in 2001, following a store design position with HEB Grocery Company in Mexico. Other notable clients included Victoria’s Secret, Macy’s, Levi’s, Lane Bryant and Whole Foods Market. Mr. Perez’s work has been featured in DDI Magazine, Contract and Green Business Quarterly. His career testimonial has been published in “Latinas in Architecture and Allies Volume II: Stories of Raising the 1% one Latina at a Time.” He is also a co-founder of the MIT Avanza Network, a co-founder of Latinx in Architecture, a subcommittee of the American Institute of Architects, and a board member of the Chicano Architecture Student Alumni Association of UC Berkeley. Mr. Perez strives for responsible and practical solutions for his clients and their communities through his work and advocacy for diversity in his industry, both locally and nationally. Supporting minority and LGBTQ+ groups, he believes that being a proponent of the environment, equity, and inclusion has evolved his integrity as an architect and designer. The first in his family to graduate from college, Mr. Perez strives to mentor underserved students to understand that higher education is possible. He credits his parents for providing the foundation that helped him excel and considers himself a lifelong curious learner, explorer and problem-solver. As an architect and designer, Homer Perez has worked with some of retail’s most distinguished brands, including Nike, Cartier, Sephora and WilliamsSonoma. Despite being a graduate of the MIT School of Architecture and having extensive experience and certifications, he traces his success to his family’s core values, which have formed the foundation of his skill set.
