Blazure is a sought-after construction expert who serves as the director of facilities management and security at The Society of the Four Arts, a Florida-based nonprofit that boasts an art gallery, sculpture and botanical garden, auditoriums, an adult and children’s library, and educational classes. Having renovated the King Library in 2019 while working for Conkling & Lewis Construction, Mr. Blazure experienced a full-circle moment when he was hired as a director in April 2024. He cites this as a crowning achievement, representing both a career milestone and the fulfillment of a professional aspiration. Mr. Blazure supervises a four-member team, oversees the maintenance of five buildings and two residential properties, and maintains the sculpture and botanical gardens. He previously worked as a superintendent for several construction companies and holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from High Point University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. Beyond his professional roles, he was involved in disaster recovery with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Looking ahead, he plans to help complete a major renovation project at the Four Arts campus involving two 90-year-old buildings. Nathan “Nate” H. Carver did not set out to become a mortgage loan officer; rather, he delved into the industry serendipitously. Following his retirement from the United States Army, he returned to Florida and became an Uber driver while considering his next career step. His final ride was for a mortgage bank owner, and their conversation turned into an impromptu interview. Within 45 days, Mr. Carver earned his license and joined Texana Bank. Mr. Carver is now a branch manager and loan officer at Pro Lending Mortgage. In his role, he looks beyond the technical aspects of securing a mortgage loan and focuses on understanding the people involved – home buyers, real estate agents and attorneys – and supporting their business models. In the military, Mr. Carver’s loyalty, leadership and character helped him advance to the rank of captain. He is a natural leader who genuinely cares for others. One clear example of this is the large garden he grows each year.
