78 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine BUSINESS, FINANCE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP Ms. Chien is excited about the opportunity to bring a healing product to market, as she believes health is the foundation of well-being and living fully. Her approach to success is rooted in persistence: just as she has devoted early mornings and late nights to running Wilson Service Station, she is determined to have a positive impact on people’s wellness through Noveratech. For Ms. Chien, launching the company is another way to keep her mind and body active. While new endeavors can be challenging and intimidating initially, she faces them head-on, finding both confidence and purpose. She stays motivated through structure and momentum, which is why she typically wakes up at 5:00 a.m. to accomplish tasks. Engaging with customers has long been a defining and cherished part of Ms. Chien’s career, and she hopes to continue this with Noveratech. She is eager to do her part to help others lead more fulfilling lives. On her first day as owner of Wilson Service Station in 2011, Lorrain Chien looked up at the towering gasoline tanker delivering fuel and began to cry from overwhelm and exhaustion. The gravity of her position was hitting her – determined to keep the family-owned business open following her parents’ death, she had taken it over. Today, providing gasoline service to a small farming town remains her most notable achievement. Independent gas stations are not often owned and operated by women, but Ms. Chien has thrived in the opportunity to provide her community with the resources it needs. She is now taking on a new challenge: launching a biotechnology company, Noveratech LLC, with her husband. She will serve as business manager for the new venture. Through Noveratech, Ms. Chien and her husband aim to bring to market products designed to promote rapid wound healing. In some cases, the innovative solution has been shown to reduce the healing time from seven days to just 24 hours. This could revolutionize patient care and recovery. Her husband, a trained surgeon, has also developed a method to reduce the need for excessive immunosuppressants in patients undergoing organ transplants.
