Since 2021, she has thrived as a senior administrator at MicroSet Corp., a jewelry manufacturing company where she engages in product development and project management. With an accredited jewelry professional and graduate pearls certification from the Gemological Institute of America, Ms. Prokofyeva spent 22 years with Tiffany & Co., beginning in 1998 as a product lifecycle management analyst. Departing the company in 2020 as an inventory control and asset analyst, she conducted inventory processes and played a crucial role in developing high-end jewelry pieces. Previously, Ms. Prokofyeva taught Russian language at the CP Language Institute, having commenced her career in education in 1986 as a teacher of Russian language and English as a second language at various learning centers and school systems. While at the TAP Center, she helped 29 Dominican students with limited English skills become confident enough to conduct interviews in English in just a few months, a moment she considers a career milestone. Ms. Prokofyeva holds an MA in English as a second language and foreign literature from Kharkiv State University in Ukraine. Brianna Newton was on her way to becoming a pediatrician when, before completing her final term of nursing school, she made a decision that changed the trajectory of her life. Drawn to cosmetology, she enrolled at the Iowa School of Beauty and completed the required 2,100 hours in just 14 months instead of the typical 20. Armed with the belief that making others look and feel good is another form of care, she opened Blush Beauty Salon in 2017. Mrs. Newton specializes in hair coloring and styling for weddings, proms and other formal occasions. Originally from Las Vegas, she used her talent and determination to open her own business in a small town at just 23 years old. She credits much of her success to the community that has welcomed and supported her. What sets Mrs. Newton apart is the level of personal care she gives her guests. Relationships go far beyond routine appointments, as several of her clients have been with her since the business opened.
