She plans to travel with her husband, keep working as long as her health allows, and continue making a difference through both her profession and her extensive volunteer work. Deeply appreciative of the life and career she enjoys, Dr. Scordakis describes herself as God-fearing and accepting. Whether she is teaching, caring for patients or volunteering, all three are important ways to give back for the blessings she has received. own children – to strive beyond adequacy and consistently perform at their highest level. With one son a dentist and the other an attorney, Dr. Scordakis takes pride in their accomplishments. She is also proud of the legacy of excellence she upholds through her teaching and through her professional practice. Dr. Scordakis built her career from modest beginnings. She notes that her family was deeply supportive, making sacrifices for her education and encouraging her at every step. From her own parents, she learned how important it is for parents to watch, guide and support their children with consistency and love. Another lesson Dr. Scordakis learned from her mother is that discipline is love. That is why she and her husband structured their schedules so that one parent was always home with their children, balancing responsibilities to maintain harmony. She emphasizes that parents must stay present, pay attention to their children’s lives and follow through on discipline. Dr. Scordakis’ love for people, strong faith and honesty have all contributed to her success. She considers honesty in particular to be both a strength and a defining part of how she connects with others. Active in her community, she volunteers with numerous organizations, including the California Dental Association, Helping Hands, CVA Cares and Kids for the Sacramento Dental Society. She also helps with local health fairs and church projects and serves as a CPR instructor for the Sacramento Dental Society. Dr. Scordakis was recently accepted into the American College of Dentists in 2026. Service runs in the family. Dr. Scordakis has two sisters who are nurses and two brothers who are psychiatric security aides. Her brothers are also professional musicians, and she spent several years performing in their band as a drummer and vocalist.
