Prior to his promotion to contract specialist, Mr. Gardner served as a supply technician with the Defense Logistics Agency and a materials technician for the City of Richmond, Virginia. He also served as a materials management specialist at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University, having commenced his civilian career as a warehouse supervisor at B&B Printing. Mr. Gardner also holds a BBA from the University of Phoenix, which he completed in 2015, and certification as a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act level 2 contractor. As a testament to his success, Mr. Gardner has earned numerous military decorations, including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Service Ribbon and Army Overseas Service Ribbon. He also earned the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal and the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon. Outside of his primary obligations, Mr. Gardner volunteers with the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. He aspires to elevate to the rank of company commander, with a steadfast commitment to the United States military and the country at large. Curtis L.
