Learning this in real time, she adapted her freelance business accordingly so it could operate and grow in a way that makes sense. Freelance of Tampa is built entirely around supporting lawyers. Ms. Bland values every aspect of her job and is willing to tackle any task, doing whatever needs to be done in the moment. She believes in the importance of maintaining positive relationships and is proud of having left every previous professional position on good terms. Many of her clients have worked with her multiple times and would rehire her, something she considers a significant achievement. Looking ahead, Ms. Bland aims to grow her company by hiring a few employees and adding a few new clients to create a steadier book of business. After three decades of working late nights and always making herself available, Paula Dunigan Bland chose balance over burnout by founding Freelance of Tampa LLC. By providing freelance paralegal services to attorneys in Florida, she is setting her own hours and regaining her independence. Ms. Bland started Freelance of Tampa in 2020 as a side venture while working as a full-time paralegal. She spent decades in the profession, starting in 1995, and later became a Floridaregistered paralegal. She then worked for Givens Givens Sparks for 14 years (family law/personal injury) and for the Medina Law Firm (rollover/ tire failure) for nine years. In 2023, she joined Alvarez Gower Injury Law (personal injury), stepping down in late 2025 to focus on her freelance company. Previous roles include three years with the IRS Criminal Investigation Division and five years with the United States Attorney's Office (organized crime/appellate), where she received various awards for excellence in her work. Ms. Bland is known for consistently delivering high-quality services, which is her top priority.
