Furthermore, her work has transformed over 60 impoverished villages in India, and her programs have improved access to education, as well as enhanced the health, well-being and sanitation of villages. Ms. Jain is closely involved with Project Why, an organization that supports children in underserved areas of South Delhi through high-quality, holistic education. Due to her leadership prowess, Project Why has experienced improved reporting and accountability, expanded its digital learning repertoire, and achieved a 100% graduation rate. Ms. Jain is also working with Akshaya Patra to build a mega-kitchen near Delhi, which will serve midday meals to 100,000 children in 500 government-funded schools daily. This initiative will transform the community landscape, attracting underprivileged children to attend school for free midday meals and education. Moreover, she is working with the Sankara Foundation to build a state-of-the-art hospital to provide free cataract surgery for thousands of Indian villagers. Earlier, Ms. Jain experienced success as a mechanical engineer for over two decades. To prepare for these achievements, she sought a formal education in India, earning a diploma in interior design and a master’s degree in languages. After relocating to the U.S., she completed an associate degree in mechanical engineering. Outside of her profession, Ms. Jain helped found the Millan Group, a community initiative providing social and cultural engagement for Indian senior citizens in New Jersey. Looking ahead, she aims to continue expanding her charitable impact to improve the quality of life for underprivileged populations. Well-regarded for her expertise in philanthropy and community service, Asha Jain serves as the vice president and co-founder of the Adish and Asha Jain Foundation LLC.
