In fact, she jumped right into leadership positions, coursework and professional certifications to build a solid foundation for her renewed career. Today, she is a successful financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. Ms. Mac Nee’s diverse professional background includes roles in insurance and retail. The life experiences she gained as a stay-athome mother have given her a unique perspective that has proved especially beneficial in connecting with others. Building on her civic and volunteer engagement as a member of three Junior Leagues, Ms. Mac Nee took a role as the director of gift planning for The Community Foundation Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. She then transitioned to finance, serving as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management before entering her current position in 2013. Ms. Mac Nee’s professional accomplishments are the result of her commitment to self-discipline and building positive habits. Leaning into her second act, she emphasizes perseverance, determination and the understanding that age is just a number. Patrick Harlan’s career has been marked by taking risks and staying curious. Just two weeks after graduating from college, he moved from Alabama to California to pursue a job in sales. He returned to Birmingham, Alabama, a few years later as an operating room liaison for STERIS. However, after working in a hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, he again packed his bags, following a Facebook ad to Urban Soccer Park LLC in Idaho. Mr. Harlan’s love of soccer made him an ideal fit for the company, which builds soccer fields across the country. His real passion, though, was found well above the ground, utilizing drone technology. He is now a drone pilot, photographer, videographer and content creator for his company, AirReelers. In Alabama, Mr. Harlan holds national contracts with Hudson Homes and Progressive Insurance. He trains law enforcement on how to safely operate drones, believing that operating them responsibly is just as important as the technology itself. Additionally, he branched out into flying for telecommunications and drone light shows with notable organizations such as the University of Mississippi, Mastercard, the College Football Playoff and the City of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
